PURPOSE:To detect easily a fault part by providing plural detecting means for detecting the generation of an abnormal state which can be forecast, and bringing an output signal from a detecting means to an information processing so that an abnormality detecting message for informing the generation of the abnormal state can be displayed immediately on a display part. CONSTITUTION:A troidal coil 4 for detecting a welding current in case of executing a spot welding to an object to be welded 3 by an electrode which has been connected to a secondary winding of a welding transformer 1 is provided on a primary winding side of the transformer 1, and connected through an input/ output port 8 to a control device 6 into which a part of a welding condition setting device and a welding current control means have been integrated as one body. In a programmable ROM 11 of the control device 6, a control program containing a prescribed sequence program, a welding condition setting procedure and a program for detecting an abnormality is stored in advance, and when welding is being performed, this program is executed, information from plural abnormality detecting means is processed, and the generation of an abnormal state is decided and displayed on a display part.
