PURPOSE:To exactly set a requested color filter at a line sensor position, and to attain a stable monochrome reading, by detecting the dislocation from a regulated position of a slit formed at a filter frame with a photosensor, and detecting a position where the color filter should be set based on a detection signal. CONSTITUTION:Slits 10 and 11 are formed at a filter frame 8, and a photosensor 12 which detects the dislocation from the regulated position by transmitting light is arranged at the slits, and when a filter position L which detects the position where the color filter should be set with the detection signal of the photosensor 12 dislocates, and the level of a slit detection signal S is lowered to a threshold level, a coincidence detection circuit 16 outputs a dislocation detecting signal P. A CPU20, when detecting the dislocation detecting signal P, outputs a direction control signal D which represents a movement in a lower direction, and checks a code signal F, and after confirming that the code signal F is positive, detects a zero detecting signal Z, then, it turns off the direction control signal D for a filter driving circuit 18, then outputting a hold signal H. In this way, a dislocated filter position L is corrected and controlled to an object position Lo.
