PURPOSE:To provide a turbine moving blade consisting of a lightweight alloy adequate for the longer blade of a steam turbine blade in particular by constitut ing said blade of a metallic member specified respectively in specific strength at room temp. and impact absorption energy at room temp. CONSTITUTION:The turbine blade of this invention is constituted of the metallic member having 20X10<6>mm specific strength at room temp. and >=10J impact absorption energy at room temp. The metallic member is exemplified by an Al alloy contg., for example, 0.5-4.0% Li, 0.02-0.2% V or 0.001-0.1% B alone or in combination. The purpose of this invention is to improve the specific strength of the lightweight alloy, to improve the toughness thereof and to permit the formation of the longer blade and to improve electric power generating efficiency by using the lightweight alloy adequate for the turbine moving blade. The above-mentioned lightweight alloy has the toughness approximately equal to the toughness of a Ti material used for a 40-inch length blade and exhibits the excellent specific strength. |
