The appts. contains infra-red radiators, e.g. halogen lamps, pref. in adjacent modules forming the roof of a tunnel through which strip material travels, air being supplied to flow parallel to the strip material to stabilise it and urge it towards the heating radiators at set distance from them. Pref. each module has a glass or foil cover and a reflector, and air is supplied into the module for cooling and is directed towards the radiator ends by baffles. The modules having quick-release mountings. |
