PURPOSE:To prevent that the peripheral side part is broken with the laser beam being leaked to the outside with a hole being made on the optical guide path by providing the lead wire for detection in spiral shape by insulating it from the guide pipe along the inner face of a laser beam guide pipe and by controlling so as to stop the operation of a laser oscillator by detecting the disconnection thereof. CONSTITUTION:The laser beam emitted from a laser oscillator 22 is guided to a laser torch through the optical guide path 3 consisting of guide pipes 33, 37 to perform the processing of a work. Spiral lead wires 50, 53 for detection are provided co-axially in the longitudinal direction by interposing the spacer 58 consisting of numerous insulating materials in the space with the inner peripheral face on the inner part of the guide pipes. Both ends of the lead wires 50, 53 for detection are connected to a robot control device by being pulled out of the small hole provided on the guide pipes 33, 37 and in case of the disconnection of the lead wires 50, 53 by the laser beam, the operation of the laser oscillator 22 is stopped with the control signal being transmitted from the robot control device and simultaneously the robot is stopped by being returned to the original position. |
