PURPOSE:To lower the height of the device and make the unit small by providing a breather for adjusting internal pressure in the shaft of a spindle motor, and installing an air filter on the upper face of a rotary driving hub. CONSTITUTION:A disk plate 4 and a spindle motor 5 are fixed to a base plate 3, and sealed by a top cover 2. An air filter 1 is attached to the upper face of a driving hub 6 and rotated by a magnet 8 in the driving hub 6 and a core 9 fixed to a shaft 12 making the hollow shaft 12 fixed to a housing 10 a rotation shaft. Air outside of the device containing dust passes inside of the shaft at a part (b) and enters the motor part in the driving hub 6. By sealing the lower part of the driving hub 6 with magnetic fluid seal 11, dust contained in outside air is filtered by an air filter 1 and the air enters inside of the device from a part (a) in the figure.
