PURPOSE:To prevent the leak of a sealed fluid properly by causing the seal members of a rotary shaft to get in elastic and free slide contact with the slide contact faces radially extending from the end of one side of a ring member fitted to a housing. CONSTITUTION:A ring member 5 is set along the internal surface of the hole 2 of a housing 1 where a rotary shaft 3 passes, and slide contact faces 5a and 5b extending in a radial direction are formed on both sides of said member 5. On the other hand, the primary and the secondary seal members 8 and 10 of ring shape made of resin such as PTFE is provided on the rotary shaft 3 and a part thereof is made in elastic contact with the slide contact faces 5a and 5b of the ring member 5 on elasticity. According to the aforesaid constitution, the shift of both seal members 8 and 10 in a radial direction is allowed and there occurs no damage on the seal members 8 and 10, even if the rotary shaft 3 gives a run out in rotation, thereby enabling the proper prevention of a sealed fluid from a leak. |
