PURPOSE:To make the most of merit of a CLV optical disk file in full measure and to improve rotation control and tracking capability by using a tracking process as a sampling control system. CONSTITUTION:The area A is an area in which tracking signals and a mark for rotating a disk motor by CLV are written beforehand and the area B is an area in which user data etc. are written. Because of a CLV system, the space length of a block goes to constant both in inner periphery and outer periphery of the disk. By making CLV optical disk filing in such a system, a mark signal for controlling the motor is obtained above 10kHz and goes to sufficient for rotation control. In case appearance frequency of the tracking area is above 10kHz, for instance about 30kHz, and at equal intervals, characteristics equivalent to the case where tracking signals are obtained continuously are obtained.
