PURPOSE:To clearly cut a recording material, by disposing a recording material cutting means on the rear side of the recoding material so that it can be turned upward as one body with a platen part. CONSTITUTION:A platen 27 has one end supported on a support plate 14a on a base plate 14 through a support shaft 28 so that it can be turned upward. A torsion coil spring 29 is fitted around the shaft 28, one end of the spring is fastened to a projection 14b on the support plate 14a, and the other end is fastened to a projection on the platen 27, whereby the platen 27 is provided with a tendency to turn clockwise. A platen cover 9 is formed in a roof shape so as to cover the entire body of the platen 27 and to constitute a part of the appearance of an electronic apparatus such as an electronic calculator, and a paper cutter 8 directed to an outlet for a recording paper is provided at a side edge of a top plate 9c on the side of a main body of the calculator. When the recording paper is cut, an end 13a of the paper is bent toward a roll 13 of the paper at an acute angle approximately equal to the angle of a knife edge part of the paper cutter 8, so that it is firmly pressed against the knife edge part, and is clearly cut.
