PURPOSE:To improve the productivity by reducing a nonstriking time after performing the chip dressing, by performing two works of the cutting and shaping of the tip of electrode chip and the adhesion of metal film onto the chip tip by one unit of a device. CONSTITUTION:A rotary blade 4 is made in the curved part conformed to the tip shape of electrode chips E1, E2 at its both sides. The tip of deformed electrode chips E1, E2 is inserted on the rotary blade 4 of the chip dresser and pinched with low pressure from both sides. The tip of the electrode chips E1, E2 is cut and shaped by driving the rotary blade 4 via a rotation transmitting mechanism 5 by actuating an air motor 2. And when the electrode chips E1, E2 are inserted onto a dissimilar metal 4' and pinched with adequate pressure from both sides, the turning of the air motor 2 is transmitted to the dissimilar metal 4' as well via the rotation transmitting mechanism 5, so a metal film is stuck on the tip of the electrode chips E1, E2. |
