PURPOSE:To make smooth the start and the gear change of a car without any use of a torque convertor by so controlling electrically a braking force working on a sun gear as to be equal to a sum of a force in proportion to the number of revolutions of the sun gear and a force in proportion to the speed of a car. CONSTITUTION:When an engine is started, and internal gear 12 turns monolithically with an engine output shaft 11, but the carrier 15 of a planetary pinion 16 is at rest and each planetary pinion 16 rotates at a rest position with the turning of the internal gear 12, thereby transmitting the turning of said gear 12 to a sun gear 13. In this case, the turning of the gear 13 is in a direction opposite to that of the output shaft 11. And when the number of revolutions of the sun gear 13 has increased together with engine speed, a braking force beings to work on the sun gear 13 via a braking means and the sun gear 13 becomes hard to turn. Consequently, the turning of the gear 12 works to cause the turning of the carrier 15 via the planetary pinion 16 and a transmission output shaft 14 begins to rotate, thereby starting a car. |
