PURPOSE:To reduce the cost required for a pressure-proof test by arranging channel steel material so as to surround weld zones of lining panels and weld- fitting these and narrowing a pressure-proof testing range. CONSTITUTION:First, the lining panels 11 constituting a liquid storage tank are assembled by the welding. Next, the channel steel material 13 is arranged so as to surround the weld zones 12 of the lining panels 11 constituting the liquid storage tank on the external surface or the internal surface of the liquid storage tank and an edge part in contact with each lining panel 12 of the channel steel material 13 is welded intermittently. Next, the edge parts including the weld zones 14 of the channel steel material 13 are calked with an elastic seal compound 15 and the inside of the channel steel material 13 is sealed up tightly. Then, a fluid is poured into the channel steel material 13 and pressurized and the pressure-proof test of the weld zones of the liquid storage tank is performed. In this way, the pressure-proof testing range can be made the extremely narrow range in the channel steel material 13 and reinforcing material is also made unnecessary.
