PURPOSE:To improve safety for a low pressure casting apparatus by arranging the first carrier, which arranges a core holding mechanism as movable vertically, and the second carrier, which arranges an upper die-base as movable vertically direction, at just over a lower die-base as movable backward and forward, so as to set the core into the lower die automatically. CONSTITUTION:A core (C) is held by the core holding mechanism 23. The first carrier 12 is shifted toward right direction, to shift the core holding mechanism 23, which holds the core (C) just above the lower die 6 and set the core (C) into the lower die 6. Next, the first carrier 12 is shifted toward left direction. Further, the second carrier 34 is shifted toward left direction, and the upper die 37 is descended together with the upper die-base 36, the match the upper die 37 with the lower die 6. Molten metal is poured under pressure into the mold and after solidification, the upper die 37 is detached from the lower die 6 and the second carrier 34 is shifted toward right direction to take out the casting products. By this low pressure casting apparatus, the core is set automatically and excellent effect is obtd.
