PURPOSE:To simplify a switching operation to a manual focusing mode from an automatic focusing mode, when a distance cannot be measured by the automatic focusing mode, and in case a focusing position is adjusted on purpose, by controlling the switching operation of automatic focusing and manual focusing, by a camera body. CONSTITUTION:When it is discriminated to be out of a focusing range, based on a result of a distance measuring operation, a signal of a clutch operation is applied to a clutch control circuit, power is supplied to a plunger 14 and a driving shaft 9 is moved in the left direction, and a camera side AF coupler 10 is connected to a lens side AF coupler 3. In this state, even in the course of focusing, a distance measuring operation is executed, and when it is discriminated to be in a focusing range and that a distance cannot be measured, a signal of an AF motor stop is outputted, an automatic focusing operation is ended, and subsequently, a signal of the clutch operation is stopped in a clutch control circuit by a CPU and power supply of the plunger 14 is cut. As a result, by a compression spring 12, the camera side AF coupler 10 is drawn in and the lens side AF coupler 3 is disconnected. In this way, a manual focusing operation by a manual focus adjusting ring 6 can be executed. |
