The invention relates to an apparatus 3 for drawing pipes together by means of a drawing unit 17. The apparatus 3 has a head crossmember 13, the ends 14, 15 of which are supported on the free end side 12 of a pipe 1 which is to be drawn up. The apparatus also has a counter-crossmember 5 which is attached at the free end 4 of a pipe run 2, which has already been laid, or in a joint between two pipes of the pipe run 2 which has already been laid. At the ends 6, 7 of the counter-crossmember 5 there are articulated cable strands 8, 9, via which the force which occurs during the drawing procedure is channelled into the counter-crossmember 5. At one end 14 of the head crossmember 13 there is anchored a cable 16 which runs to a cable roller 11, located in the pipe interior and braced via the cable strands 8, 9 of the counter-crossmember 5, is deflected on said roller and runs therefrom to the drawing unit 17 which is arranged at the other end 15 of the head crossmember 13 and to which the cable 16 is connected. By actuating the drawing unit 17, the length of the cable 16 is shortened, as a result of which, owing to the fixed bracing of the cable roller 11, the head crossmember 13, and thus also the pipe 1 to be drawn up, is drawn up closer to the pipe run 2 which has already been laid. <IMAGE>
