PURPOSE:To obtain the titled optical scanner for satisfying a high resolution, small in size and light in weight, unnecessity of an adjustment after assembly, high level durability, etc., by providing a waveguide type lens on an incident side and an emitting side, respectively, of a thin film type optical waveguide, and also, providing an optical deflecting part between these waveguide type lenses. CONSTITUTION:A light beam which is emitted from a light source 24 is let to be incident on an optical waveguide 27, collimated in parallel by a waveguide lens 25, and reaches an image forming surface 31 of a photosensitive body 30 through an optical deflecting part 27 and a waveguide type lens 26. In such a case, when an RF signal is applied to a transducer 28 of the optical deflecting part 27, an SAW is excited by a piezoelectric effect, and the SAW creates a cycle structure 32 of a refractive index by a photo-elastic effect. Accordingly, the light beam which has transmitted through the waveguide type lens 25 and is collimated in parallel is deflected in an angle direction for satisfying a Bragg's condition by the cycle structure 32, jumped up in the direction vertical to the film surface of the optical waveguide 22, by the waveguide type lens 26 of the emitting side, and also, an equal angular velocity motion of the deflected light is converted to an equal speed linear motion, and it is condensed onto the image forming surface 31 of the photosensitive body 30. |
