PURPOSE:To improve photographic performance by satisfying specific conditions in the stage of replenishing a color development replenisher which does not contain a 1-aryl-3-pyrazolidone compd. per m<2> of a photographic sensitive material. CONSTITUTION:A color developing soln. contains the 1-aryl-3-pyrazolidone compd. at (y)mol per l of the color developing soln. in a method for forming a dye image by subjecting a silver halide color photographic sensitive material contg. the 1-aryl-3-pyrazolidone compd. at (x)mol per m<2> of the photographic sensitive material to a color developing process in the presence of an arom. primary amine color developing agent after imagewise exposing. The 1-aryl-3- pyrazolidone compd. satisfies the conditions of formulas I, II in (x), (y), (z) in the stage of replenishing Zml 1-aryl-3-pyrazolidone compd. which does not contain the 1-aryl-3-pyrazolidone compd. per m<2> of the photographic sensitive material under the same alkaline conditions as the 1-aryl-3-pyrazolidone compd. contained in the photographic sensitive material. The photographic performance is thus improved. |
