A tethering grille for livestock barns which is suitable for feeding and bedding-down enclosures, but also as a short-stand or milking-parlour grille, has fixed grille elements from which there can extend telescopically movable grid elements which, together with the fixed grille elements, form feed or shut-in gaps. By using catch flaps, the movable grille elements may be configured as self-locking drop tubes which, after actuation of the catch flaps, are released by the animal, moving towards the feed area, and automatically shut in said animal.
