PURPOSE:To provide a self-adhesive sealant capable of maintaining a predetermined shape at room temp. and exhibiting a suitable flowability upon being heated to bond to a sealing portion with easy formation of a seal having tenacity and elasticity, which comprises a crosslinkable substance, a rubber elastomer capable of curing upon being reacted with the crosslinkable substance, and a filler. CONSTITUTION:5-200pts. (by weight; the same shall apply hereinafter) crosslinkable substance such as alkylphenol of the resol type, melamine or urea amino resin, or a modified epoxy resin is blended with 100pts. elastomer such as polyisoprene, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, styrene-isoprene-styrene block polymer or ethylene-ethylene acrylate, and 100-500pts. filler such as zinc white, clay talc, etc. and, if necessary, 0-5pts. crosslinking accelerator, 0-5pts. antioxidant, 0-300pts. tackifier resin (e.g., rosin resin or terpene resin), and 0-300pts. a flexibilizer such as paraffinic oil.
