The invention relates to a body for lorries, in particular an interchangeable body, in particular for bulk material, comprising an approximately cuboidal box which is open at the top, in particular with a rear wall which can be opened, the floor of which box has edge parts which are angled upwards or rounded and drawn down at least along the longitudinal sides and to which are attached the side walls, which have a multiplicity of reinforcements arranged at a distance one behind the other. In order to improve the body in such a manner that a more simple method of production can be achieved which also results in a reduction in the dead weight whilst the stability is at least as high as previously, the edge parts (3), which are bent upwards, of the floor (1) merge into flange-like edge parts (1) which are in each case angled outwards, and furthermore the reinforcements of the side walls are designed as beads (6) which extend over the entire height thereof, and the side walls are welded by their end sides onto the flange-like edge parts (4) such that they are supported against the latter. <IMAGE>
