The subject-matter of the invention is a method and a device for measuring the quantity of energy fed to one or more energy-dissipating devices. The energy-dissipating devices are prompted in sequential time intervals mutually separated from one another to dissipate energy with a power which is prescribed in each case. The total of the periods is measured for a prescribable measurement interval.
