The manually actuable mower has a mobile frame (10) with a pivoting arm (21) pivotable about the vertical axis (24). Fastened in a suspended manner on this pivoting arm (21) is the housing (27) in which the motor (35) of a cutting tool (35) is secured; the cutter bar (36) of the latter projects from the motor (35) in the direction of travel (22) of the mower. The mower can be employed for different mowing material, even in places where access is difficult, and can be used both in a continuous and in a discontinuous mode of operation. <IMAGE>
