A conche has a trough (1) in which there are mounted two rotor shafts (6, 7) in one trough section (2 and 3 respectively) each, the said shafts (6, 7) being made to rotate about their axes (8, 9) by means of a drive. The two rotors are arranged in such a way that their outer surfaces face one another, for example they are parallel to one another. Each rotor (4 and 5 respectively) has pasting tools (15), the creaming surfaces (17) of which interact with creaming surfaces (18) of the trough (1) acting as counter surfaces. In order to bring about distribution of the chocolate compound inside the trough (1), at least some of the creaming surfaces (18) are at different distances from at least one rotor axis (8, 9) over the axial length of the rotors (4, 5) and/or the creaming surfaces (17) of at least one rotor (4, 5) are arranged at an angle to at least one rotor axis (8, 9). <IMAGE>
