A circuit/packet integrated switching system which can easily cope with the change in the service areas of the subscribers or the change in the traffic amounts of circuit/packet switching. For this purpose, a time slot for circuit switching and a time slot for packet switching are provided on a speech path highway in the subscriber line interface module that contains the subscriber interface circuit. At the time of calling, the subscriber speech path is connected to either one of said two kinds of time slots according to the circuit switching service or the packet switching service requested by the subscriber.
