PURPOSE:To reduce the power consumption of a developing device and to form a visual image without any damage by writing a digital image signal obtained by the color decomposition of optical information on an image forming body as an electrostatic image based on a recording signal and developing the electrostatic image by developers consisting of conductive toner components. CONSTITUTION:Optical information is converted into color decomposition information by a color processor in a polychromatic signal forming body system, an image signal based upon the color decomposition information is converted into a dignal signal by A/D conversion and an electrostatic image is recorded on a recording device based on of a recording signal obtained by the prescribed arithmetic processing of the digital signal. The electrostatic image recorded in the recording device is written in the image forming body 30 by a laser beam generator 31 in the polychromatic forming device. A yellow toner developing device 33, a Magenta toner developing device 34 and a cyanine toner developing device 35 are formed on the multicolor forming device. The developers consisting of non-conductive toner components of respective colors Y, M, C are stored in respective devices 33-35. Consequently, a color image having high resolution and excellent color balance is formed as a visual image and the power consumption of the system can be reduced. |
