<p>PURPOSE:To enhance a regenerating effect of a filter and an absorbent by providing the filter and the absorbent on a by-pass pipe of an exhaust passage, an air supply pipe on the upstream side of the filter and a connecting pipe between the downstream side of the absorbent and the suction pipe. CONSTITUTION:A filter 28 for scavenging particulate and an adsorbent 30 for adsorbing ill-smelling component are disposed in order from the upstream side in a by-pass pipe 26 of an exhaust pipe 22. The second suction pipe 40 is connected to the upstream side of the filter 28 of the by-pass pipe 26, and an introducing valve 42 is provided at a junction portion. The downstream side of the adsorbent 30 and a suction pipe 16 are connected by a connecting pipe 34, and a valve 38 is provided at a branching portion. Signals from temperature sensors 50, 52 are input to a control device 54, and when an engine is within the regenerating region, air is supplied from the second suction pipe 40 to the filter 28 to regenerate the filter 28 and the adsorbent 30 and regenerated gas is returned to the suction pipe 16 through the connecting pipe 34.</p> |
