PURPOSE:To simplify a differential lock mechanism in structure, by selecting a claw clutch, while making it capable of selecting a drive with a center differential being automatically differential-locked with a direct coupled method or a viscous coupling, and making it applicable to various driving conditions. CONSTITUTION:A transfer shaft 27, where output of a transmission 3 is inputted, is connected to a planetary gear 40 having a center differential function, and each power transmission from a sun gear 41 to front wheels and from a ring gear 42 to rear wheels is constituted. And, a viscous coupling 45 is installed between the sun gear 41 and the ring gear 42, while a direct coupling-free selecting claw clutch 50 is installed between the transfer shaft 27 solidly with a carrier 44 and a countershaft (jackshaft) solidly with the sun gear 41. And, a 4WD running mode is constituted to be capable of selecting two types of a drive with a center differential being capable of direct coupling or differential locking and large in rear torque as compared with the front torque. In consequence, it is made applicable to various driving conditions, and a differential lock mechanism in case of being fitted with the center differential is simplifiable. |
