PROCESSING METHOD FOR SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To obtain good photographic characteristics in the stage of a quick process as well by subjecting a photosensitive material having an emulsion layer contg. a specific yellow dye forming coupler emulsified and dispersed by using a specific high boiling org. solvent to color development in the presence of an auxiliary developer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive material having the silver halide emulsion layer into which the yellow dye forming coupler having >=0.5 relative coupling reaction rate RM/RN is incorporated by emulsification and dispersion by using the high boiling org. solvent having >=6.0 dielectric constant at >=30wt% by the weight of the coupler on a base is subjected to the color development in the presence of the auxiliary developer. The fast reactive yellow coupler to be used has >=0.5 relative coupling reaction rate. Any compds. having >=6.0 dielectric constant are usable for the high boiling org. solvent. Any known optional auxiliary developers are usable for the auxiliary developer. The particularly preferable gradation in the shoulder part and the max. density are thus provided in the quick process as well.
