PURPOSE:To supply lubricating oil to a sliding portion properly, reduce a wear loss and improve durability and compressing efficiency, by disposing a lubricating oil passage control device in a passage communicating a back pressure chamber with an intake chamber which operates in response to a compressor operating condition detecting unit for controlling the passage. CONSTITUTION:A lubricating oil passage control unit 50 is disposed in a communicating passage of a back pressure chamber 25 and an intake chamber 20 which operates in response to a detecting unit of an operating conditions such as a rotating speed of a compressor, cooling medium pressure, temperature and the like for controlling the passage. With such an arrangement, the communicating passage of the back pressure chamber 25 and the intake chamber 20 is controlled and the amount of oil supplied is regulated in accordance with the operating condition of the compressor so that the functions of the passage such as an opening accuracy and responsiveness are improved, the lubricating oil is prevented from flowing into the back pressure chamber 25 from the intake chamber 20, whereby compressing efficiency can be increased. Further since a pressure in the back pressure chamber 25 is regulated, a thrust force applied to the sliding surface of a lap support disk 17 is properly reduced and the lubricating oil is supplied to sliding portions properly, a wearing loss in reduced and durability is improved.
