PURPOSE:The titled, safe and inexpensive neutralizing agent comprising a specific fatty acid. CONSTITUTION:A neutralizing agent for botulinous toxin containing >=12C fatty acid (e.g., lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, stearic acid, nonadecaonic acid, arachidic acid, etc.,). The neutralizing agent is orally used and may be administered to blood. In toxin neutralizing ability of this agent, the amount required to neutralize 2mug botulinus toxin is >=50mug and about 1/10 toxin neutralizing ability which is shown by ganglioside GT1b of the same weight. A preferably amount of the agent used for remedying or preventing botulinus toxin is 0.5-100mg/person/time. The action of the agent is that the agent becomes a receptor which comes across botulinus toxin in organism, is bonded to the toxin and makes the toxin lose ability to be linked to action sites of organism. Consequently, crisis of the toxicosis is prevented and the neutralized toxin is excreted outside the body.
