The invention relates to the construction of a window envelope which can be reused by the first addressee for returning documents. The window envelope has, both on its front and its back, a transverse tear line (10, 11) so that a sharp pull exerted in the direction of the top of the envelope detaches the upper part, the lower part then forming an open envelope (16) equipped with a window (14), whilst a convenient means (19) is provided for sealing this return envelope. <IMAGE>
