<p>A glass grinding and/or polishing apparatus comprises a chuck 1 which holds a glass 13 to be repaired, and is rotated by means of a drive motor 17. The chuck 1 is mounted in an arm 2 which is arranged to move in an arcuate path over a substantially flat rotary grinding disc 23, and subsequently over a secondary grinding station 20 and two polishing stations 21, 22. During operation, fluid is continually circulated through a sealed enclosure 80 of the apparatus, to flush away particles of glass, etc., which are collected as sediment 79 in a disposable tank 40. </p> |
