PURPOSE:To obtain a metallic seal valve having long life of a gasket by forming a metallic gasket of the metallic seal valve by a shape memory alloy, and disposing heating or cooling means in the vicinity of the metallic gasket. CONSTITUTION:A circular metallic gasket 6 is fitted in a gasket arranging froove 3 of a metallic seal valve, and a body portion 6a and a seal collar plate 6b of the metallic gasket 6 are formed by a shape memory alloy. Heating means 15 and cooling means 16 are provided the vicinity of the metallic gasket 6, thereby promoting the shape reversion of the metallic gasket 6. In this arrangement, a little plastic deformation caused by the shape reversion of the metallic gasket 6 can disappear at every actuation, so that the life of the metallic gasket 6 can be lengthened by a large margin.
