PURPOSE:To obtain the titled material having improved color reproducibility and storage stability under a high humidity by incorporating a compd. capable of releasing a diffusive developing restrainer or its precursor by reacting with an oxidant of the developing agent together with >=2 kinds of colorless couplers having a specific relationship in at least one layer of an emulsion layers. CONSTITUTION:The titled material contains the compd. (diffusive DIR compd. D) capable of releasing the diffusive developing restrainer or its precursor by reacting with the oxidant of the developing agent together with >=2 kinds of colorless couplers satisfying the following condition in at least one layer of the emulsion layers. Namely, the prescribed condition lies in satisfying the following relationship DBeff/DAeff<0.70, wherein DAeff is the development restraining effect of the diffusive DIR compd. D in the coupler A system, DBeff is the development controlling effect of the diffusible DIR compd. D in the coupler B system. The relationship can be applicable for each of the red sensitive emulsion layer, the green sensitive emulsion layer and the blue sensitive emulsion, and preferably, for the green sensitive emulsion, and more preferably, its emulsion having the high sensitivity. Thus, the titled material having an emphasized effect of between the layers and the improved color reproducibility and storage stability of the photosensitive material under the high humidity, is obtd. |
