PURPOSE:To attain a parallel operation system that can avoid an all-out stoppage of the plant operation by connecting an old computer system and a new computer system via a memory device to attain the parallel operations. CONSTITUTION:A new CPU 4 supplies the plant data via a new process input/ output device 6 and at the same time writes this data to a prescribed point address part within a memory device 7. Then an old CPU 1 reads immediately the plant data out of said address part of the device 7 and supplied it to its own system. The device 7 is equivalent to a process input/output device for the CPU 1. Thus both CPU 1 and 4 input the same plant data to their systems respectively and approximately at the same time point. Then the parallel operations are carried out to the same plant through both computers by carrying out the same processing through both CPU 1 and 4.
