PURPOSE:To make it possible to lead a sample to the top of a sampling needle in condensing continuously while the solvent included in the sample is gasified without changing the quality thermally, by passing the sample from a high speed liquid chromatograph on a heater with an inclination of heat radiation. CONSTITUTION:Excited argon atoms produced by a corona discharge between a corona discharge tube 3 and an electrode 4 flow to a sampling needle 7d on the argon gas flow. On the other hand, the sample led from a high speed liquid chromatograph through a Teflon pipe 8 is led to the top of the sampling needle 7d while condensed continuously and heated by heaters 7a, 7b, and 7c during the transfer over the heater 7. The sample which reached to the top is ionized by the excited argon atoms from the corona discharge tube 3, and led to the main body of a mass analyzer through a pinhole 1a.
