PURPOSE:An insolubilizing treatment device having high treatment capacity and low c st of installation, sandwiching carbon fibers by two air-permeable conveyors and transporting the fibers from a inlet part to an outlet part of a furnace in the same state as it is. CONSTITUTION:Carbon fibers 1 sent by a conveyor 21 is received by a conveyor 25, put in a furnace 20 and the carbon fibers are sandwiched by the conveyor and another conveyor 24. The conveyors 24 and 25 and made in a meshy state and oxygen or air 8 are permeated through them. After insolubilization is over, insolubilized carbon fibers 1' are sent from an outlet at an upper part of the furnace 20 to the outside by the conveyor 25 and delivered to a conveyor 22 sending the fibers to the next process.
