PURPOSE:To validly prevent breakages of reaction furnace, by setting an on-off valve of a materials supplying duct at an opening hole part of reaction furnace and turning the on-off valve while sliding it on inner wall surface of reaction furnace to smooth opening or closing operation thereof. CONSTITUTION:The plate shaped on-off valve 6 is set to the opening hole part 11 at connection part of the material supplying duct 14 and the reaction furnace 10. The valve 6 is operated by an operating shaft 7 from vertical direction, and the part 11 is opened or closed under the state in which the surface of valve body is faced to inside of the furnace 10 and by sliding the other surface on inner wall of the furnace 10. At this time, vapor of metal such as Mg is adhered mainly on inside surface of valve body and scarcely adhered on sliding surface side. Consequently, excessive force is not applied to the furnace 10 and the duct 14 during sliding of the valve 6. Since action force to the furnace 10 due to opening or closing the valve 6 is applied in direction for twisting the furnace 10, the force is dispersed and damage of the furnace 10 and the duct 14 are decreased.
