<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a compact digitizer together with the improved operability by providing N pieces of the 1st electrode, M pieces of the 2nd electrode and (NXM) pieces of input electrodes and resistance heating elements and recording the input information immediately at the corresponding input position. CONSTITUTION:The 1,000 pieces of the aluminum lower electrode 2 having the width 2a are arranged on the upper surface side of a glazed alumina substrate 1 together with (1,000X750) pieces of the piezoelectric input element 3 made of zinc oxide arrayed in the form of a dot matrix. In addition, 750 pieces of the aluminum upper electrode 4 are formed on the element 3 and (1,000X750) pieces of the resistance heating element 5 of tantalum nitride are arranged in a dot matrix from so as to secure contact with both electrodes 4 and 2 respectively. The thermosensible paper is set on such a table and the characters or graphics are drawn on said paper by means of a pencil, a ball- point pen, etc. The voltage is produced by the element 3 and detected by both electrodes 2 and 4. Thus the input coordinates can be obtained. Furthermore the element 5 generates heat when the electric power is supplied to both electrodes 2 and 4. Then characters or praphics are recorded on the thermosensible paper.</p> |
