PURPOSE:To detect the opening and closing states of a valve from the outside by providing a sensor for detecting the opening and closing states of the valve on a part of the valve and an open-and-close detecting probe cooperating with the sensor. CONSTITUTION:There are provided an opening state detecting sensor 5 supported by a support rod 3a fixed to a valve casing 1 and a closing state detecting sensor 7 supported by a support rod 3b. An open-and-close state detecting probe 13 is provided corresponding to the positions of the detecting sensors 5, 7 on an outside exposed portion of a valve rod 11. Accordingly, the opening and closing states of the valve can be confirmed at another place, not visually confirmed directly.
