Compsn. for observation and control of Pityogenes chalcographus comprises Me 2,4-decadienoate (I) and chalcogran (II), together with a carrier. The attractant may also comprise a monoterpene(s), e.g. (-)-beta-pinene, (+)- or (-)-alpha-pinene or camphene. It may also comprise cis-verbenol or 2-methyl-3-buten-2-ol. The wt. ratio of (I) to (II) is esp. 1:10000-100:1, esp. 1:100-50:1. |
