EXCLUSIVE PRIORITY CONTROL SYSTEM

PURPOSE:To improve the responsiveness of an exclusive priority control system by setting plural priority levels for a lock allocation queue and setting high priority to a short transaction of a high degree of emergency to shorten the queuing time for resources. CONSTITUTION:The N steps (1-N) priority are set to a lock allocation queue control table 10. Here the larger number of steps the higher the priority. When a resources allocation request is received from a transaction, a lock request table 14 is secured. Then a clock state is immediately set as long as the resources are not used. If the resources are used, the table 14 is connected to the table 10 according to the priority and an FIFO system is effective between same degrees of priority. Then the high priority is set to the lock request received from a short transaction of a high degree of emergency. While the low priority is set to the lock request received from a long batch/TSS transaction. This shortens the resources queuing time for the short transaction of a high degree of emergency and therefore improves the responsiveness.
