PURPOSE:To detect the state of a track preceding the information is recorded and the correction of recorded information in parallel with recording of information by providing a means which detects the state of the track before recording and a means which reproduces recorded information. CONSTITUTION:The light from a light emitting element 2 is divided into three by a spectral element 20 and is reflected on a beam splitter 4 and is converged as three spots 18, 22, and 23 on the recording face of an optical disc 1. When information is recorded on a track 29b by the spot 18, the spot 22 is projected to a track 29a, where information is not recorded, just preceding the track 29b, and information is recorded by the spot 18 if recording is available, but a prescribed command is issued from a check data reading circuit 28 if record ing is improper. The spot 23 is projected to the part where a pit is formed by the spot 18, and reproduced information is compared with information which a signal processing circuit 15 holds; and if correction or rerecording is performed in accordance with the command from the circuit 15 if recording is erroneous. |
