An arrangement for supporting and turning a patient in different positions relative to the horizontal plane, especially an operating table, comprises a number of table sections 3 designed to be able to be joined together on their long sides in order to form a shell 1 which partly encloses the patient and whose inner surfaces 4 form different support surfaces for the patient and to which the patient can be displaced with a corresponding relative change in position by rotation of the shell 1 about a longitudinal axis, after which table sections 3 not supporting the patient are removed in order to permit the necessary access to the patient. <IMAGE> |
