摘要 PURPOSE:To improve machining accuracy of a machine tool by measuring the displacement in the right angle direction in relation to the movement of a slide base and by feeding back a measured value to a control section for controlling the drive of servo motors. CONSTITUTION:In an NC lathe capable of simultaneous two axes controlling, for example, a saddle 6 and cross slide 8 are driven by a Z axis servo motor 9 and X axis servo motor 12 respectively. And on the front face over hanging section 1A of a bed, a reference block 15 is attached as a means forming an ideal straight line, fixed to it parallel with a main spindle 3 with an adjusting screw 17, and the space between the non contact type measuring device 18 attached to the saddle 16 and a datum surface 18 attached to the saddle 6 and a datum surface 15A is measured. And a reference block 19 is attached also on the saddle 6 and fixed with an adjusting screw 21, and the space between the non contact type measuring device 22 attached to a cross slide 6 and a datum surface 19A is measured, and the results are fed back to a servo motor control section. Machining accuracy can, thus, be improved.
