PURPOSE:To make an untistick control accurate and to prevent the deposition by controlling the melting quantity of a welding wire at the arc welding completion point by the arc voltage at that time. CONSTITUTION:An arc 7 is generated between a welding wire 2 and base metal 4 via the contact chip 3 fitted to the tip of a welding torch 1. Arc voltage detector 8 is connected to conduction 6a, 6b to monitor the arc voltage generated between the welding wire 2 and base metal 4 continuously. A voltage comparator 10 compares the voltage of the arc voltage detector 8 with that of a reference voltage setter 9 and in case of the coincidence cuts off the power supply by outputting the coinciding signal to a welding power breaker 11.
