PURPOSE:To change a terminal number without troubling the operator of a maintenance console by registering a terminal number given to a subscriber itself on an optional terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:When the subscriber of a telephone terminal 1 is moved and makes a call from a data terminal 2 at other locations the terminal is connected to a register (REG) 6. In dialing a registration request special number, a password of the subscriber itself and a terminal number of the telephone terminal 1 are dialed, the number information is received by the REG 6 and transferred to a CPU 4. When the CPU 4 confirms the adequate of the terminal number, the address content of the allocated position of the data terminal 2 in a main storage device (MM) 5 is rewritten to a terminal number transferred from the REG 6 to erase the address content of the allocated position of the telephone terminal 1. Thus, the registration of a new terminal number on the data terminal 2 is finished.
