An automatic device for stacking sacks or similar directly on a transport pallet in a desired pattern comprises a belt or a corresponding link conveyor (2), which feeds the sacks onto a turning device (3) and a main conveyor (4), situated underneath the turning device. Either the conveyors (2, 4) or pallet (14) are vertically mobile.
