PURPOSE:To send a data to a facsimile equipment by providing a detection means detecting a Kanji (Chinese character) conversion request code from a facsimile sending object data and a Kanji conversion means searching a Kanji conversion table to obtain a Kanji data so as to convert a Katakana (square form of Japanese syllabary) part and a code part into the Kanji data. CONSTITUTION:At the time of the Kanji conversion object data exists in a data, a facsimile sending object data formed by adding a Kanji conversion request code and size information representing the data size to the head of the Kanji conversion object data, is provided by a CPU10. In case the setting of the Kanji conversion request code in the facsimile sending object data is detected by a facsimile sending channel 21, a Kanji conversion processing section 23 is started, the Kanji conversion table 22 is searched by using the Kanji conversion object data having a size representing the size information succeeding to the Kanji conversion request code as a key data to convert the Kanji conversion object data into a Kanji data. Then as to the Kanji conversion object data, it is replaced into the Kanji data and sent to the facsimile equipment.
