PURPOSE:To always hold a feeding material in a condition of constant deflection and to smooth the feeding of material to a press by passing the material sent from a material sending device through a guide roll freely movable up and down, by driving a drive motor of the sending device in accordance with the roll position. CONSTITUTION:The material 2 sent from the material sending device 1 is passed through between upper and lower guide rolls to flatten by a leveler 3, and each material 2 of a fixed length is sent out to a press machine 4 by a pinch roller. The guide rolls 6 on the top end of a lever 7 balanced with a balancing weight 11 centering around an axis 8 is moved up and down inaccordance with a feeding curve, and a limit switch 9 is actuated to operate the driving motor for the material sending device 1 to maintain the feeding curve of the material 2 within a constant range at all times. Therefore, the material 2 is sent out continually by a prescribed length with the pinch roller to perform excellent press work. Furthermore, free from the area for holding a deflection of the material, a floor space for an installation is reduced.
